Experimental aircraft take a lot of time to assemble. This is a fact that any owner of an RV or other self-assembled aircraft will tell you. Building any airplane takes plenty of planning, forethought, and investment.

The owner of this RV-9 originally contacted us several years ago; he told us that he was building an RV and wanted to talk to our designers about a good stripe package for his project. He came to our hangar in Middleton, WI, and sat down with the late co-owner, Gene Niswonger, who began sketching out a design for the yet-to-be-finished aircraft. Although our client was excited about the aircraft he wasn't ready for the actual production of the design yet. That would have to wait until the aircraft was assembled.

"No problem", said Gene, "we'll keep this design on file, and when you're ready to for us to produce the graphics, just let us know."

Five years passed without another conversation, and then recently, the owner of the newly finished N791AC, contacted us asking if we still had his information on file, and if we could produce the graphics for him. We were more than happy to oblige. The result can be seen above.

This burgundy-laced black paint with red and light gold vinyl color scheme vividly sets the RV-9 apart from the average private aircraft. This truly is a design worthy of being applied to an aircraft that has been infused with such case and love. The color scheme will be sure to catch the eyes of all who see it.

Over the years, customer service has always been the top goal of Air Graphics LLC. That is why we keep all our past designs and customer preferences, so that if the need arises we can produce replacement parts, or entire designs at a moment's notice.

So if you have an aircraft or are thinking of acquiring one, contact us today. Even if you don't purchase the aircraft for months or even years, we'll still have the designs and will be more than happy to assist you anytime.
