Premium Raw Materials

Air Graphics is an approved distributor of 3M films. This means that Air Graphics has direct access to premium grade films that no one else can acquire. For "one-off" jobs, the cost of doing a single design with this film would be a deterrent. Because Air Graphics has such purchasing power, we can acquire the films for significantly less and pass the savings on to you.

Advanced Handling Techniques

Vinyl has unique characteristics that must be understood and respected. Our designers and installers understand the capabilities and the limitations of the product while it is being converted into your design and when installing your design on your aircraft.

"Hand-Configured" Components

Placing the elements into one "easy-to-install" mask is an intimate process that demands a perfect touch. Our tolerances for error are within 1/16 of an inch. This margin of error allows for easy integration of replacement parts and existing parts on your aircraft if the need should ever arise in the future.

UV Coatings

We are able to match nearly every color in the spectrum through our 4-color thermal print process. In order to maximize the longevity of the printed films, every element receives a UV coating. As a testament to this process, in 2007, two Cirrus SR22s left our facility and flew the North Atlantic route to Dubai. These two aircraft were designed with a red, orange, and yellow pixel design; colors that are traditionally more susceptible to fading. For three years, these aircraft received daily exposure to wind, sand, sun and 120 temperatures and still appear showroom ready.

Dry-fit measures

Although it isn't necessary, when able, Air Graphics will dry-fit your graphic on a similar fuselage to ensure proper fit and finish.

Minimum Shelf-life

As a regular supplier to aircraft OEMs, the turnover rate of our inventory is maximized, which in turn minimizes our films' shelf-life. This minimum shelf-life allows for fresher material, greater adhesion, and maximum performance.

Continuing Education

Our designers and production crews undergo continuous education in formal classroom settings and from vendor sponsored conferences. These events keep the creative juices flowing and our team on the leading edge of graphic design.

Packaging for Shipment

One of the biggest variables when our product leaves our hands is when it gets shipped. We have implemented many actions to ensure the accuracy, quality and performance of our product from the time it leaves our shipping desk until it arrives at your hangar door. These efforts include:

  • 3rd party verification of box contents
  • Paper liner upgrade from 70 lbs paper to 80 lbs, impermeable liner
  • Plastic wrapping of entire contents of graphics
  • Custom-made, rigid shipping boxes
Installation

If you elect for Air Graphics to perform the installation, our Master Installers will have you in at 8 am and in most cases, out and flying home shortly after the lunchtime hour the SAME day. Your Aircraft On Ground (AOG) time is minimized so that you can get back into the air and back to your family or business.

Production Time

Air Graphics has been able to implement all of these actions to ensure the highest quality product for your aircraft. These measures, however, have not slowed down our capacity to get the finished product to you. We take great pride in the pace in which we can deliver our product. For replacement parts, we are able to ship the same day if we receive the order by 2pm. And for entirely new, custom kits, we can get them out the door in two business days. Remember, we do not carry any inventory of parts, we create each item from scratch to ensure freshness and maximum performance of our product.
